A

- information are processed data and are meaningful. They are accurate, relevant, timely.

- DBMS is a collection of programs that allow you to create, manage, and operate a database. It controls the creation and maintenance of a database.

- Single-user - Supports one user at a time
- Desktop - Single user database on a personal computer
- Multi-user - Supports multiple users at the same time
