Outline principles that define CLOA (8 marks)

A

State principles.

Purpose of em➡️ they are the main ideas that have research on behaviour & cognition➡️ so we can understand how cognition influences behaviour.

Define cognition➡️process based on mental rep of 🌎, eg) images, words, concepts.
Every1 has diff experiences, so each 🚶🏼has diff mental rep.

Top-down/bottom-up processing➡️info input to mind from sensory system thru b.u.p…info processed in mind from pre-stored info (schemas) in memory thru t.d.p…when info is processed, behaviour is output.

Schema theory➡️mind work with t.d.p (organised sets of info)…⬆️ efficiency of processing, but lead to distortions.
