All property including homes and businesses belonged to the state and every member of society has a fair share

He wanted to strengthen one party rule and cut back on peoples individual rights. He was convinced that the west wanted to destroy communism so it refrained from negotiations with the USA and Britain

He believed in the british empire where as many others believed it was time to let it go. He was deeply suspicious of Stalin and saw it as his duty to stop the communist expansion

He believed strongly in democracy but compromised to form an alliance with Stalin. After japan bombed pearl harbour in 1941. He thought he would need soviet support against japan
What were the agreements made at Tehran
The USA and Britain would launch an attack on west germany meaning they would have to withdraw troops from the east
Stalin would declare war on japan and fight the war with the USA once the war in Europe was won.

It improved relationships as the soviet union believed that the USA and Britain were delaying the second front in order to weaken the soviet union.

Roosevelt died in April 1945 and was replace by Harry S. Truman.

Germany was divided into 4 zones administered by the USA, soviets, Britain and france. Berlin would be divided into the same zones
What was the impact of the atomic bomb
The bomb put Truman in a stronger position for if there ever was and outbreak between the USA and any other country. Stalin was not happy with this as he tried even harder now to make the soviet union secure with a buffer zone ( eastern europe)
