Locate both starting and ending points

Draw a line connection the starting and ending point

Draw a vertical line through the starting point

Read the direction of location from the starting point

Key notes: To is referred to ending point

From is referred to starting point

A

Scale - Map scale refers to the relationship (or ratio) between distance on a map and corresponding distance to the ground

Height - The measurement of someone or something from head to toe

Contour - An imaginary line that connects points of equal value. A contour map typically shows multiple contours such as elevation or temperature countours.

Vertical Interval - This is the vertical distance between the contour
