What is the function of the KIV-7?
To accept synchronous (up to 64 Kbps) and asynchronous (up to 9,600 BPS) serial plain text data from the terminal device, encrypt the data, and modulate it to produce a serial cipher text output that is optimized for the external interfacing equipment.
