Brain Chemistry

A

For the brain to work correctly, it needs chemicals called neurotransmitters. An individual’s mental health may be impacted by constantly having too much or too little of one or more substances in the brain. Some prime examples of these chemicals are dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine.

Serotonin

A

“Mood-stabilizer drug”
The brain’s serotonin levels control a person’s mood. It is frequently referred to be your body’s inbuilt “feel good” chemical. A person feels happier, calmer, more focused, and emotionally stable when their serotonin levels are within typical ranges.
But if there’s not enough serotonin, you might feel a bit down or anxious. So, it’s like the brain’s own happiness helper, making sure you feel good and stay positive!
