Court Cards - Soul Flashcards
Page of Cups
A call to sense into our inner child. How are they? Are they being nourished, offered the attention they’re asking for? This part of ourselves can remind us of how to have fun, how to play, how to spark our imagination.
Knight of Cups
An invitation to keep our “cup” very steady, even as the water inside of it sloshes all around. In times of discord, challenge, or contraction, Knight of Cups is here as a beautiful Anchor of rooted care. This energy is who we can work with if we want to be the solid container that is able to hold a myriad of different waves and experiences
Queen of Cups
Each of us is a Selkie, not totally belonging to the land, not totally belonging to the sea. Queen of Cups is an important call from inside the house – a call to leave behind the world of the known, and move closer to that seal skin. Whether we float away to this place on our drive home from work or take a month-long pilgrimage, it is in our best interest to heed the invitation from this part of ourselves
King of Cups
A healer, helper, and witness for other folks. When this card arises, it is both a call to this kind of service, and an invitation to sense into the support we need to take this kind of calling on. Leaning into our connections with our Cups Queen, Knight, and Page can be of immense help
Page of Wands
A invitation to commit to working and creating in total, respectful collaboration with our bodies. A call to pause and tune in with ourselves before we say yes to something, or before we take an action, allowing that to be the core intention of our process.
Knight of Wands
Move as you like, at your pace, in a way that feels good! This energy isn’t about fast or slow, it’s about things feeling really lovely and aligned as you do so. What might make your flow through the day or this season more enjoyable for you?
Queen of Wands
Open to your magic, the magic that lives and flows within you. This card is a call to trust that magic actually does live within us – that we are intuitive, magical, and deeply tethered to Source. Sense into your practices, lean into that channel, and fill your cup
King of Wands
A trailblazer, and one who isn’t afraid to spark a new, and different path from others. Inevitably doubt and impostor syndrome may arise, but a solid connection with the Wands Queen, Knight, and Page can support them in trusting their vision
Page of Swords
We have something to offer, even as novices. Can we be humble about that, trusting that it’s okay to be a beginner? This card calls upon us to share from where we are, rather than where we would like to be, fully embracing how green we might feel
Knight of Swords
An energy that allows us to accomplish more than we would normally be able to do – indeed, they are the “fastest” Knight. This is the energy we call upon if we need to move through a short-term burst of action. Just be sure to tend to your body and nervous system once you’re on the other side.
Queen of Swords
We call upon the Queen of Swords to help us to remain neutral inside of a situation when big feelings and big brain noise might be all around us. This card helps us to slice through the confusion that can understandably arise during times like this, creating clearer boundaries around ourselves and our internal experiences
King of Swords
A communicator of brave truths; someone who is willing to allow their processes to be witnessed without hiding them. It takes tremendous courage to engage with King of Swords – the Swords Queen, Knight, and Page are essential to tether us as we lean into that edge
Page of Pentacles
An invitation to tune in with Spirit, and ask, “what would you have me know?” The most devotional of all the Pages, this energy is a call for us to embody that spirit – to drop in, become quiet, sense into our inner Pentacle, and ask that it be a compass for us
Knight of Pentacles
A call to get all of our ducks in a row and wait for the intuitive hit to go before we take our first step onto the journey. The “slowest” Knight isn’t really slow – they are preparing, carefully aiming their arrow at the bullseye. When the time is right, they’ll release and fly.
Queen of Pentacles
An invitation to deeply care for and tend to our body. This card calls upon us to get our feet on the earth, to drink hot gingered broth, to warm our bodies, and reach for any resource that helps us to feel like our cup is as full as possible.
