CQT2020 Flashcards
When ‘LAND’ and what does it mean?
- Below 400’ RA
- Indicates that the LOC and GS modes are locked. Not action on the FCU will disengage Mode. FLARE and ROLLOUT modes will successively engage
What is indicated by FAULT light in the GEN pb?
The associated GCU trips or the line contactor opens (except if GEN pushbutton is selected off)
What does a BAT ‘Off’ light represent?
- Battery charger limiter is not operating
- OFF light illuminates if the DC BATT BUS is powered
- Hot buses remain powered
What occurs when the GEN 1 LINE pb is selected OFF?
- GEN 1 line contactor opens
- AC BUS 1 channel supplied from GEN 2 through the bus tie contactors
- Separate circuit is energized from GEN 1 to supply power to one fuel pump in each tank
Pushing and releasing an ENG FIRE pb closes which valves?
(LHEP)
- Low pressure fuel valve
- Hydraulic fire shutoff valve
- Engine bleed valve
- Pack flow control valve
Pushing and releasing the ENGINE FIRE pb accomplishes what actions?
- Silences the aural fire warning
- Arms the fire extinguisher squibs
- Closes the low pressure fuel valve
- Closes the hydraulic fire shut off valve
- Closes the engine bleed valve
- Closes the pack flow control valve
- Cuts off the FADEC power supply
- Deactivates the IDG
The FACs control which functions?
FAC - Flight Augmentation Computer
- Electrical rudder control
- Flight envelope functions
- Low level energy warning
- Windshear detection
In Normal Law, what occurs as the aircraft slows to Alpha Protection?
AoA protection becomes active, and:
- Autopilot disconnects
- Speed brakes retract
- A sidestick behavior changes from load-factor demand to ‘AoA proportional to side stick deflection’
- Pitch trim (nose up) inhibited
What is indicated by a flashing ALIGN light?
Flashes white when system detects
- IR alignment fault
- No present position entry after 10 minutes
- Difference between position at shutdown and entered position exceeds 1 degree of latitude or longitude
- A/C movement
With fuel in the center tank, when do the Center Tank Pumps run with MODE SEL in AUTO?
- Center tank pumps run at engine start for 2 minutes
- Before/after engine start, the pumps run with slats retracted and fuel in the center tank
- Center tank pumps stop 5 minutes after tank empty (low level reached)
What could cause the PUT fault light to illuminate?
Illuminates with ECAM caution, if
- The green or the yellow reservoir overheats
- The green or the yellow reservoir has low air pressure
- The green or the yellow reservoir has low fluid level
The FAULT light remains illuminated if the overheat is active.
When is the PTU inhibited?
- First engine start
- One engine master on and parking brake set
- NWS DISC displayed on ECAM
- Cargo door operation
What does the battery charger limiter automatically control?
Connection and disconnection of the corresponding battery to the DC BAT BUS
What does a BAT ‘Fault’ light represent?
Comes on amber, accompanied by an ECAM caution, when the charging current for the corresponding battery is outside limits. In this case the battery contactor opens.
If the speed brake handle is armed, what is required to activate the Ground Spoilers during a rejected takeoff?
Handle armed: Speed > 72kts, thrust levers at or near idle
If handle is not armed: Speed > 72kts with at least one thrust lever in reverse and other thrust lever at or near idle
