Brain abnormalities, serotonin in the brain affect a person’s mood and may affect their behavior
In 2014 a BBC survey found 60% of convicted males claim to suffer a head injury
Knife crime
2014 survey found 23% of young people admitted to carrying a knife
Burglary
32% of burglaries are committed by 10-17 year olds
Drug crime
2015-16 there were just under 30,000 people charged with possession of drugs in Scotland
