Define race
- Not genetically defined; socially defined based on appearance
- Categorization of a population based on physical appearance
- Race is a subjective measure
Define ethnicity
- Groups in which members share a cultural heritage from one generation to the next
- Could be linked by nationality, religion, or common heritage

Define bias
A particular inclination towards someone or something. It may be good or bad; A predisposition or preconceived opinion that prevents a person from impartially evaluating facts that have been presented for determination
Define implicit bias
Refers to the attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions, and decisions in an unconscious manner
Define stereotype
An exaggerated belief, image or distorted truth about a person or group - a generalization that allows for little or no individual differences or social variation
