  • Model of their bus system has been replicated 150 times worldwide.

Bus lanes are seperate to car lanes.

As a result Curitiba has one of the lowest rates of pollution.

City helps residents in the slums as they have to cope with regular floods.

  • Site and service schemes, where the government offer low interest loans on the land and free house design, residents are trained to build houses with all the necesities.

COHAB scheme is providing 50,000 homes for the urban poor.

Garbage is seperated into organic and non-organic waste which is collected in 2 different trucks
