What lexicology studies?
The properties of words, usage, in origin, and the patterns and relations in the language of vocabulary
 what is vocabulary?
Includes all the words in the language that are organised, not just alphabetically, but also in a special way (formally, semantically)
What is a word?
A minimal unit that can be used independently, in isolation and does not consist of parts that can be used independently
Word (not a compound word) is a fixed sequence of sounds(rarely a single sound) or written symbols used in the language to convey specific meaning. it’s a distinct unit that can’t be broken into small unit for independent use although, a linguistic analysis may uncover in it more than one morpheme

What is a concept?
It’s a way how to understand something
Defined the orthographic word
Word in alphabetic or syllabic writing system- visual sign with space around it
Define phonological word
In terms of sound: spoken signal that occurs more commonly as a part of the longer utterance that in isolation is subject to the rhythm
Define morphological word
 word, that lies behind both the orthographic and the phonological word
Define, lexical word
In terms of content, word relates to things, actions, and states in the world
For example :do, does, Our three versions of one verb do
How else can we call lexical word
Full word, content word, Lexeme, lexical term
Define grammatical word. Give me an examples of grammatical words.
In terms of syntactic function, contrasts with lexical word, and is an element in the structural system of a language. It serves to link lexical words.. conjunctions, determiners, interjections , articles and pronouns are grammatical words
Define the onomastic word
In the context of naming something special or unique, to show difference between Napoleon and Emperor
Define lexicographical word
In terms of dictionaries is usually presented in an alphabetic order.
Dictionary we will find entries like did as the past form of do and them as the object form of they. These entries often refer you back to the main representative form.
Define the statistical word
 in terms of how often it appears in a text, think of a word is something you count and following instructions like: count all the words on the page. Discount may or may not include numbers, codes, names, even though they might not fit our every day , conception of word.
