Anisocytes
A
Vary in size. Frequently found in hemolytic anemia

Oval shape, normally only small numbers are present. May be seen in IDA< and megaloblastic anemia.

A
Tear drop shape and may be seen in thalassemia

A
Hgb found in peripheral rim and central core and are seen with thalassemia, SS anemia, chronic liver

A
Abnormal variations in the shape seen in the anemias and leukemias

Reticulocytes
A
Young immature non nucleated RBCs increased levels seen with increased RBC production; decreased counts seen in bone marrow is not keeping up production.
