Victims
Organised - wives and gfs safe, kills other specific type of women
Disorganised - anybody, poor relations with women in general, victims usually live alone
Crime scene
Organised - stages and body transported
Disorganised - not staged and body left at scene + can be messy
Weapon
Organised - carry weapon with them, & take them away after the crime
Disorganised- uses weapon of opportunity frenzied attack, often depersonalises the victim, ie turn them on their stomachs
Childhood
Organised - troublemaker at school
Disorganised - classmates won’t remember
Personality
Organised - externalise anger, often attractive, confident, intelligent, good verbal skills, history of problems with authority
Disorganised - internalise anger, physically ugly, low self esteem, not very articulate, previous suicide attempts
Relationships with women
Organised - talks to women + fairly controlled
Disorganised - doesn’t often talk to women
Place of residence
Organised - lives some distance from the crime (except usually the first as it’s close to home and more comfortable) + usually live with a woman
Disorganised - kills where there’s familiarity + lives alone
Pre-offence
Organised - may be due to break-up or job loss
Disorganised - low self esteem comes on victim of opportunity
Publicity
Organised - interest in media reports of crime + tried to get involved with the investigation
Disorganised - no interest in media reports of crime
