What is a Waiver and who issues them?

A

A waiver is a request to GOSS to perform a procedure that is contrary to the Operations/Customer Service manual. If Construction cannot complete a task to fix a leak in a roadway due to heavy traffic they would contact GOSS to extend the period of time to fix the leak that might stray from the identified section in the OPS manual. It is submitted to management and goes to the VP of the division for final approval.
