Q

Describe the steps of semi conservative replication

A
  1. Enzyme DNA helicase separates original DNA
  2. Free nucleotides from nucleoplasm are attracted to their complementary bases on each separated strand of DNA
  3. DNA polymerase forms phosphodiester bonds between nucleotides
  4. 2 identical DNA molecules are formed
  5. Each DNA molecule now has one original strand and one newly synthesised strand
