Augmentin

A

Aka Co-amoxiclav (amoxicillin + clavulanic acid). Beta-lactamase-producing bacterial infections.
PO, 250/125 tablet every 8 hours, 500/125 in severe infection. IV 1.2g every 8 hours.

Gabapentin

A

Focal seizures, Neuropathic pain and migraine prophylaxis.
PO. Day 1: 300mg OD, Day 2: 300mg BD, Day 3: 300mg TDS. OR initially Day 1: 300mg TDS then increased in steps of 300mg.
Max 3.6g daily.

Mild to moderate pain, diarrhoea, cough suppression. PO/IM 30-60 mg every 4 hours, max 240 mg daily. Too constipating for long term use.
