- schools mirrors and creates exploitable and obedient workforce
- work for extrinsic reward e.g good grade and good salary
- reproduces capitalist workforce
Done by: - good grades awarded to conforming pupils, not creative and critically thinking students
- schools based on hierarchy, makes them accustomed to obedience of superiors
- capitalist work is alienating and controlled, school is also boring/ controlled so normalises this
