A

Mainly affects : Extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB) muscle, one of the forearm muscles responsible for extending the wrist.

  2. Pain on ; Wrist flexion and Pronation of forearm
  3. Assoc Ulnar nerve involvement : numbness / tingling in the 4th and 5th finger
    * Ulnar nerve travels along the medial epicondyle of the humerus

Olecranon bursitis : Definition

A
  1. Refers to inflammation and swelling of the bursa over the elbow.

2 . This causes thickening of the synovial membrane and increased fluid production, causing swelling.

3 . The olecranon is the bony lump at the elbow, which is part of the ulna bone

A

This inflammation can be caused by a number of things:
* Friction from repetitive movements or leaning on the elbow
* Trauma
* Inflammatory conditions (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis or gout)
* Infection – referred to as septic bursitis
