Jesus shares a meal with his Friends, Bread and Wine are brought to the table.
At Mass the Priest brings Bread and Wine to the Alter.
The Risen Jesus talks with his Friends and recalls the scriptures.
Through the Liturgy of the Word, we talk to Jesus today. The Scriptures help us the see things in a new way.
Jesus takes the bread saying “This is my Body”. And does the same with the Wine saying “This is my Blood”.
At Mass this Priest takes the Bread & Wine and speaks the words of Jesus.
Jesus breaks the bread and gives it to them. They recognise him fully.
In Communion Jesus is with us under the appearance of Bread and Wine.
Immediately afterwards, the friends go back to Jerusalem, bringing the good news with them.
At the end of Mass the priest blesses us and says “Go in peace to live and serve The Lord”.
