Q

how do modern liberals view equality?

A

Modern Liberals accept that whilst a meritocratic system is inherently the best model, not all in society start at an equal place in society thanks to many years of opportunity. Very few in society truly start on an even playing field and therefore some govt. Intervention is necessary to even the playing field.
