What is autonomy?
Respecting the pt capacity to make their own decisions about their own lives (even if you don’t agree)
Informed consent

What is moral confusion?
Feeling unsure of what is right to do
Not knowing how to resolve this
e.g. told in lectures to get consent; told in clinic you don’t need to - which is the right thing to do?
What is moral distress?
Feeling unable to do what you think is right
or
feeling compelled to do what you think is wrong
