Arrangement where separated parents both have the legal responsibility for their children.
Co-custody Family
Where the parents have immigrated to.
Immigrant Family
Moves regularly to places where they have employment.
Migrant Family
A family who lives in more than one country.
Transnational Family
Homes of children from separated families.

FUNCTIONS OF THE FAMILY
- Primary unit for socializing children.
- Ideally a major source of practical and emotional support for its members.
- Helps regulate sexual activity and reproduction.
- Provides its members with a social identity.
- Plays a very important role in the transmission of cultural values etc.
Fulfill their agreed-upon roles and responsibilities.
