What is salvation?
The belief that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, people can live forever with God.

Where the sacrament of baptism is celebrated. It is a stone basin filled with water, which Catholics believe washes away Original Sin. Through baptism, Catholics are welcomed into a new life in Jesus which is how they achieve salvation.

Where the sacrament of the Eucharist (Holy Communion) is celebrated.
The altar shows the belief that Jesus died on the cross for human sin and to give people salvation. This is remembered through the sharing of bread and wine which represent the body and blood of Jesus in his crucifixion.

What are 2 details about the outside features of a church?
-Churches are usually build in the shape of a cross showing the importance of the death of Jesus for human sin and to bring salvation
- Churches usually face east, which is the sun rises, showing that Jesus is the light of the world in the face of sin.
How do the features of a church change a catholic’s life?
Catholics will visit church and be reminded of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for their sins. They will pray to God during Mass, thanking God for sending his Son so they can have a chance of salvation (to live forever with God).
