as the contrast of Scrooge but later on becomes the model for the man Scrooge wants to become, he is jovial and energetic, dances with his wife, he has the power to makes people’s lives good or bad but chooses good he only wants to bring joy and creates happiness - this helps Scrooge do the same with his life
