A

Congressman Clyde Kelly of PA 1925, Sponsored the Air mail act of 1925. It authorized the post master general to contract domestic air service to commercial air carriers. Helping create commercial aviation industry. It also contained language precedent: only those who use aviation would pay for it, creating the industries first principle. “aviation should pay for itself”

A

Created the Federal Aid to Airports Program (FAAP), FAAP continued to fund 50% of the airport projects like runway and taxiway development. To be eligible for funding, the Airport had to be a part of the National Airport plan. Which listed recommendations for construction, operation and Maintenace. The 50% grants came with the understanding of Sponsor Assurances (Grant Assurance). The Airports were held to their promise of no discrimination of Civil or public use. Creating another Foundational Principle.

A

Midair collision in 1958 killing 12 people, prompted the government to create the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA), The FAA assumed the role of safety and rulemaking from CAB. The FAA would also become responsible for civil-military of air navigation and air traffic control. The FAA became the Federal Aviation Administration in 1966
