what are passive car safety features?

A

they are designed to make the driving experience more comfortable to avoid the driver getting distracted whilst on the road, reducing risk of accident.

what are active safety features?

A

they are designed to protect the vehicle’s occupants in the case of collision by slowly absorbing the vehicle’s kinetic energy which is done in two ways:

  • extending the collision time
  • reducing the force acting on the occupants
