Forms of the Magesterium Flashcards

1
Q

What is the ordinary Magesterium?

A

Popes and bishops usually preach and write letters to people in their diocese (the Laity).
These are aimed at encouraging faith, clarifying a point of faith, or give instructions.
It is important that the Church can respond to issues that were not considered by the writers of the Bible.
