A

Haven’t met in 175 years.
Louis the 16 calls it in 1788-actually meets in 1789. Anticipation builds and the representatives write cahiers. This makes the king deadlock the people which literally locks them out of the building in which they meet.

Q

What was the storming of the Bastille?

A

The Bastille was a prison and the people wanted weapons and thought they would be there. They literally tore it down by hand. They got the commander of the prison and murdered him, chopped his head off, and then put it on a spike and paraded around town with it. From here on the French Revolution is violent
