it was a lot more left wing, wanted complete nuclear disarmament and rejected compromises on the economic policy and favoured higher taxes on the Rich. they gained 40% of the vote in 2017 but in 2019 rows about anti semitism damaged labour and they collapsed in 2019n election loosing 60 seats

they were convinced they would win a huge majority in a snap election in 2017 but lost their majority and some of their policies had to put on hold such as building more grammar schools, scrapping human rights act etc.
election in 2019 was successful gaining 80 seats
