Occupational therapist
Evaluates employment possibilies; arranges for home modifications, vocational retraining, and job placement
Vocational rehabilitation counselor
Liaison with third-party payers, various agencies, and financial coordination; may assist with social, housing, and financial adjustments; may provide counseling to patient and family
Social worker
May assist with coping skills or facilitating emotional adjustment
Psychologist
Assists in developing a health leisure lifestyle, which may involve activities such as swimming, skiing, or wheelchair sports
Recreation therapist
Assesses nutritional needs; develops and implements nutritional programs to promotes good health
Dietician
Assesses and implements medical needs for the patient
Nurse
Support groups such as the Amputee Coalition of American, United Cerebral palsy Association, or the Spina Bifida Association of America may be of assistance to the patient and family
