Familiar person falsely identified in strangers
Capgras Syndrome
Familiar person is supplanted by a stranger who is their exact double
Othello Syndrome
Delusion of infidelity of a spouse or partner. More commonly in males, accusations of infidelity, interrogation of the partner.
Cotard’s Syndrome
Delusions of their body or self having disappeared. Commonly in women
Ekbom’s Syndrome
Delusions of infestation with insects.
Ganser Syndrome
Syndrome of approximate answers.
MHA Section 2
Admission for assessment for upto 28 days. GP, Psychiatrist and approved social worker required

Admission for treatment for upto 6 months. Nearest relative or SW along with 2 doctors
