Pityriasis rosea is self limited and usually resolved in 6-12 weeks. Can use PO antihistamines or topical steroids.

A

Pt was bit by brown recluse spider need to observe for hemorrhagic bullae that undergoes eschar formation withint 24-72 hours after.

Pt states they noticed small bite after gardening. Reports muscle pain and 30 minutes after. PE shows blanched circular patch with surrounding red perimeter and central target lesion. What do you tell patient?

A

Sx should resolve in 1-3 days after black widow spider bite. Can give benzos for spasms
*Antivenome reserved for patients not responsive to medications
