Regulation of Professions by Department of Health

A
  • Profession means any activity, occupation, profession, or vocation regulated by the department in the Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
  • Intent is to regulate for health, safety, and welfare of public
  • biennial licenses, or up to a 4-year license
  • board meets at least once annually, quorum needed (51% of board members)
  • board members get $50 a day for attendance or participation

  • active duty or in US Public Health Service
  • practices in “military platform”

  • may provide a report of exam and tx in lieu of copies of records
  • if patient’s makes a written request for complete copies, records shall be provided directly to subsequent treating psychiatrist
