- Previous GDM
- Previous increase BSL 
- PCOS 
- Previous macrosomic baby (BW >4500g or >90th centile) 

BMI >35
Age >40yrs
Fhx DM
- (1st degree relative with diabetes or sister with GDM)

Meds: steroids, antipsychotics

Criteria for diagnosis

A

 a fasting venous glucose ≥ 5.1 mmol / L
 1 hour venous glucose ≥ 10.0 mmol/L
 2 hour venous glucose ≥ 8.5 mmol / L (Nankervis 2013)
