What is haemostasis?
A
Process whereby haemorrage following vascular injury is arrested
Vascular spasm
Adherence of platelets
Blood coagulation.

What is thrombin?
A
Converts fibrinogen to fibrin which forms clots.

How is coagulation amplified?
A
Activation of 9 activates 10. This activates 8 which activates 5 that activates 13 which stabilises fibrin clot and increase aggregation.
