A
HIV/AIDS is spread through direct contact. Most people do not realise they have HIV because the early stages of having the virus resembles a common flu: the virus slowly attacks the immune system and when the immune system can no longer fight off strong infections, the disease then develops into AIDS.
Due to the development of AIDS heavily damaging the immune system, the infected person is more vulnerable to additional illnesses and cancers, the average person with AIDS lives for 3 years before dying.
