Who accepts the authority of holy books?
All Muslims accept the authority of holy books but it is one of the six articles of faith for Sunni Muslims. All the books have the same message but the first 4 were altered over time so are not authentic. The Qur’an is believed to be an exact record of God’s message.
What are the scrolls Abraham / Ibrahim?
The scrolls of Ibrahim are referred to in the Qur’an but these have been lost and no longer exist. They are thought to have been one of the earliest scriptures of Islam which were to Ibrahim. ”All this is in the scriptures, of Abraham and Moses.”
What is the Torah / Tawrat?
Muslims believe that the Torah was given to Moses in Hebrew (Musa). He was given given the message directly by Allah rather than through an Angel. It is mentioned 18 times in Qur’an. They believe that the Torah is essentially the first of the 5 books of the Bible.
