Q

Describe the control centres role

A

sets the range for factors , evaluates input from the receptors & gives output commands , acts on nerve impulses or hormones

Q

Describe the effectors role

A

Receive output from control centre , creates a response/effect that changes the controlled condition. Usually muscle contractions , or gland secretions

Q

Explain how the body uses homeostasis to manage blood glucose levels

A

If levels raise above (5.00mmol/L) ; The pancreas will secrete Insulin. Body cells will take in glucose for fuel , liver will convert glucose into Glycogen for storage.

If levels lower , Pancreas will secrete Glucagon . Which tells the liver to convert the glycogen back into glucose & release it back into the bloodstream.
