Explain greenhouse efect
-Sun emits short wavelength infrared raditon enters atmosphere and travels towards surface
- earth absorbs radiation but long wavelentgh radiation reflected back into atmosphere
- greenhouse gases cant absorb the radiation emmited by sun but can abosrb longer wavelength radiation.
-gases re-radiate energy and temeprature at earth surface rises
What are the effects of climate chnage on environemnt
Sea surface temperature increase- beleaching corals and more cyclones
Melting ice-sea level to rise
Precipitation patterns
Changing distribution of species- malaria can inhabit more countries by mosquitoes
Efects of climate change on people
Reduce food growth for farming as can’t grow crops in warmer conditions
Overcrowding as areas becoming too hot and dry to inhabit. Low-lying coastal areas could be lost to flood
Affect health as there could be lower crop yield which can cause malnutrition
Can cause damage to houses as could get broken down
How can low and maximun projections be used to see if climate change will go up or down
Human and physical reasons might affect is that countries may introduce child polocies meaning greater drop in population and countries might start using more renewable energy than others causing major drop.
What are low and maximun emission projections
Can interpret how bad and how steadily temepratures are rising which can help us in future prevent how quickly the climate will rise
