Q

What were the risk assessments? (3)

A
  1. Very busy, lots of cars and traffic, so when crossing roads we looked both ways, found safest areas to cross in.
E.g. Pedestrian crossing no blind corners.
Risk being run over by car- injured or killed
  2. Had teachers phone number made sure we knew what times to be back to bus so no one left behind. Teachers did head counts
  3. Stay together in 3s so don’t get lost

Q

What were the positives and negatives of land use mapping?

Q

What were the positives and negatives of footpath cross section?

A

P
Good visual tool to see shape of foot path, can easily see which part of footpath had greatest erosion.
Suitable representation for one site
Quick and easy to draw and to spot change within depth across footpath
N
Doesn’t show difference along whole section- to see changes across a large section of a footpath you need to draw lots of gross sections which is time consuming

Q

What were the positives and negatives of the pie chats and bar charts

A

P
Easy to read and colours can easily represent categories, can also label % for detail

Only gives proportion and not actual numbers so cannot judge reliability of data (which is based upon number of questionnaires)
