What is CD154?
A
It is the same CD40L, receptor on T cell that activates B cells. When it is activated it releases IL-4

What happens if you do not have CD-40- CD154 interaction?
A
B cells will not undergo isotype switching to TD antigen. They will develop Hyper IgM syndrome (lots of IgMs but lack normal levels of IgG or IgA)

What is the function of the C3b molecule?
A
The presence of C3b on the surface of a microbe marks it as foreign and targets it for destruction.
C3b will help to generate C5 convertase
