Contraindications in:
a. Diuretics
b. Nonselective betablockers
c. ACEi/ARB
A
a. predispose to hyperuricemia and acute gout, exacerbate hyperglycaemia (use carefully in diabetics)
b. contraindicated in asthma/COPD, adversely affect peripheral vascular disease
- acute/unstable CHF, bradyarrhythmias, diabetes (inhibition of usual sympathetic responses to hypoglycaemia)
c. 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy
