Q

“”What were the effects of the unequal treaties on the Japanese people?”

A

These effects had a horrible impact on Japan. It led to a change of the political system. The shogun’s weakness caused other countries and people to take advantage of it.

After 14 years of this horrendous issue it ended in 1868 by Emperor Meiji. Who left the city and ended up taking all the power of the Shogun. Which rapidly helped to solve this issue for Japan.
