one of the main reasons why people went on the crusades in 1095 was due to religion. Some people may have commited sins and they didn’t want to go to hell. People made hell look really scary so that people would follow more rules. People also made heaven look really nice so people wanted to go. That is the reason why so many people went so all of their sins could be forgiven and they could go to heaven.
