What are the investigations for Hodgkin’s disease?
A
- Lymph node biopsy
- CT/CXR
- Bone marrow
- Increased WBC (eosinophils)

What investigation can be used for multiple myeloma?
A
- Urine sample - bence-Jones proteins are monoclonal globulins
- Lytic bone lesions on x-ray
- Anaemia
- Increased no. Of plasma cells in bone marrow aspirate

Q
How can you tell it’s neutropenic sepsis?
A
Suspect in all patients who are unwell and within 6 weeks of receiving chemotherapy.
- > 38°C
- Neutrophil <0.5x10^9/L
- Examine indwelling catheters
