What is Tawhid?

A

A

+The sin of regarding anything as an equal or partner of Allah.
+Acknowledged in the first pillar of islam

A

+Muslims, or Shi’ites, who believe in the Imamah, leadership of Ali and his descendants after the Prophet Muhammad.

A

A

The Recitation or Reading. Allah’s eternal utterance revealed to the Prophet Muhammad by the Angel Gabriel as his final revelation to humankind.

What happens on the day of judement?

A

all people will be judged by Allah
everyone will be raised from the grave and will have their faith in Allah and their earthly good and bad deeds weighed up
those who can cross the bridge over Hell (known as Sirat), carrying their book of life, will enter Paradise and gain eternal happiness
those who cannot cross the bridge will fall into Hell forever

A

The five observances which must be followed by all practising Muslims, eg Salah - to pray five times a day.

A

Belief in Allah as the one and only God
Belief in angels
Belief in the holy books
Belief in the Prophets…
e.g. Adam, Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Dawud (David), Isa (Jesus).

Name the five pillars of Islam

A

Shahadah: sincerely reciting the Muslim profession of faith
Salat: performing ritual prayers in the proper way five times each day
Zakat: paying an alms (or charity) tax to benefit the poor and the needy
Sawm: fasting during the month of Ramadan
Hajj: pilgrimage to Mecca
