What are the qualifications needed to become part of the jury?
-Between the ages of 18 and 75.
-Been a citizen of the UK for 5 years (since age 13).
-Registered to vote.

Explain ‘Stand by for the Crown’
When the prosecution refuse to let a juror sit, unless there are no other jurors. (Prosecution Only).

The defence can challenge where a juror can sit on the jury if they have a good enough excuse. (Defence Only).
Explain ‘Challenge to the array’
If the variation in the jury is unfair, not a cross section of society. (Both prosecution and defence).
