1. The word Allah is from the Arabic al-Ilah, meaning the god.
2. Saying Allah is the only god is the first part of the shahada, Muslim declaration of faith.
3. Shirk- believing in other gods as well as Allah, of that anyone or anything can share in allahs oneness is seen as the worst sin. Muslims therefore disagree with the Christian idea of the holy trinity and with polytheism. Images of Muhammad aren’t allowed, in case of shirk.
