L21-23 Osmoregulation Flashcards

1
Q

difference between cortical and juxtamedullary nephron

A

Cortical nephrons have small glomerulus , short loop of Henle and produce dilute urine. ( peritubular capilaries) Juxtamedullary nephron have large glomerule, long loop of Henle and produce concentrated urine ( Vasa recta)
